Cactus Disease

Cactus are hardy plants but are still susceptible to diseases such as Viral, Fungal, and Bacterial infections. Some of these diseases are spread by insects, some caused by overwatering, and nearly all can be spread from plant to plant when using dirty cutting tools.

TMV - tobacco mosaic virus                                  

This disease does not seem to harm the plant but is contageous and spreads by using infected cutting utensils. It usually manifests more on unhealthy or stressed plants. There is no treatment.
